Hi Guys,

I need some help setting up my fiber network using my own equipment. My setup 1 Unifi SFP module Fiber Instant or a Wave-Fiber-ONU, and a SC APC to APC Patch Cable (see pictures). I connected one end of the SC APC patch cable to the proximus fiber and the other end to my Fiber Instant module, and then connected this to the SFP side in my Unifi Pro XG 8 PoE switch (but it was only flashing white light on the SFP side) whiles trying to adopt to my Unifi Controller Unifi Gateway Max (via PPPoE login) but nothing. Did the same with the Wave-Fiber-ONU but also nothing (on the Wave when I plugged the fiber cable into it, it started giving me 2 red flashs and 1 white flash). So if anyone can help, I don't know if any of the setup's i tried was wrong or I missed something or none of my equipment are compatible with proximus fiber?

FYI I did register the Fiber Instant (on my proximus in the settings) but still nothing worked.

Thanks in advance!

How to install your own fiber modem

Check that your fiber modem meets the necessary specifications, then register it on MyProximus.

We invite you to check the technical specifications in the documents below: For a fiber-optic line:

Thanks Martin!

I have read the pdf and I think i meet the requirements with my equipment: my modem/router supports Vlan 20 on my WAN. My Internet speeds are 500 up and 500 down, so my device should work it (or it has to be a 1gb before I can connect? I followed the steps but nothing. For now am only connected to the ONT box with my UCG-Max-NS and it's working (I would have loved to use my own equipments).

Thanks in advance!
