Ik heb al maanden last van een verhoogde (maar consistente) ping in League Of Legends. Op het forum heb ik al diverse mensen teruggevonden met een gelijkaardig probleem, blijkbaar zonder dat er hier een oplossing voor wordt gezocht.
Om het probleem opnieuw aan te kaarten geef ik graag nogmaals volgende informatie mee:
Sinds het najaar van 2020 heb ik een verhoogde ping van ca. 40ms. In samenspraak met de helpdesk van League of Legends (Riot) heb ik alle mogelijke oplossingen geprobeerd, zonder succes. Uiteindelijk kwamen de experten van Riot tot de conclusie dat het probleem enkel door Proximus verholpen kon worden. Ik heb dit probleem reeds aangekaart bij de helpdesk, zonder gehoor.
Hieronder voeg ik toe wat RIOT aan mij vertelde:
Back to the issue, that looks related to some issues that your Internet Provider is currently facing in regards to their routing to our servers. Even if other games or apps are working okay, keep in mind that each of them have different routes, so the issue might only affect your route towards our game. As for speed tests, those aren't providing accurate results, since they test your ping under ideal situations.
Since there's not much that we can do on our end of things, try to contact your ISP and ask them to look into it.
If you need help about how to approach them about the situation, you can basically forward the results of the Ping Plotter to them in order to ask for a re-route, and it is a good idea to request your ISP to assign you a static IP address if possible, and you would need to ask them to verify if you are getting a consistent public IP with all your traffic bound to the Internet, regardless of protocols.
Also, you can try asking for a Tier 2 or a Specialised agent, since they should be able to find the root of the problem more easily.
